Things to do in St. Michaels, MD
-
St. Michaels is a small town filled with delicious food (crab anyone?!), fun outings, festivals, a world class museum, and stunning parks and views. No matter your budget, there are plenty of things to do that will fill your day trip or weekend. Since St. Michaels is a small town, not all businesses are open during the week (even at the height of summer). Make sure you call ahead and make reservations if you plan on dining out any day of the week. Weekends are busy, but during the week there are fewer dining options which make the restaurants that are open, very busy.
-
It all depends on the experience you are looking for. If you are looking to party, come visit Saint Michaels at the height of the summer on a beautiful Saturday. If you are looking for less crowds, visit mid-week. If you are looking for a local experience, plan a day trip in the late fall, winter, or early spring.

For such a small town, we have a big reputation! St. Michaels is known as “the town that fooled the British” linked to a story that came out of the war of 1812. The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is in St. Michaels which attracts visitors from all over the world. Scenes from the 2003 comedy “Wedding Crashers” were filmed in St. Michaels (take one of our tours to see where). St. Michaels is also home of the Inn at Perry Cabin, a high end resort right on the shores of the Miles River.

We may be a little biased, but you haven’t seen St. Michaels unless you have seen it from the water! St. Michaels is on a peninsula, surrounded by water. You get the best views from our boats because they are low to the water. You can really feel like you are one with the water and nature. Other ways to fill your day trip are dining out, shopping in our quaint shops, lounging in the many parks on the waters edge, biking, or taking a stroll while enjoying ice cream.
